Reminder

Posted on Updated on

Hello,

I hope that the holidays have gone great for all of you. I would like to remind everyone that January’s issue has been skipped. Instead, we will be doing a massive February issue on hope and love. I encourage you to participate. If you are lacking ideas of what to send in, look back to the 25 Days of Posts: Day 10 post. Once again, our email is couragefortomorrow@yahoo.com

We look forward to seeing your work!

It’s Christmas Eve!!

I am so excited to be with my family tomorrow (of course, the presents under the tree add to that excitement). I love to curl up with a blanket, hot chocolate, and a Christmas movie. What is the average time that you wake up on Christmas? It has been programmed into my brain to wake up extremely early. Sleep eludes me.

Hello!

School is finally out for me; I must say that I am extremely ready to be off for two weeks. I like school, don’t get me wrong, but it takes so much work! I hope all of you enjoy your winter breaks, and if you don’t have one, I hope that you take some time to yourself to relax. What do you do in your free time? My family usually sits around watching movies and drinking hot chocolate. I also read (I’m a manic reader) and watch television (mostly Korean television).

Hello!

There are only four days left until Christmas! That could only mean that it is December 21, 2012. As I am still able to write this post, I am quite sure that we did not all perish in the 2012 apocalypse. I suppose I could be a zombie. I don’t have any cravings for brains, though, so that lets that out. Either way, here is a video for your viewing pleasure. It never fails to make me laugh. Also, I love the David Crowder Band (even if they are no longer together).

Christmas is so close!! I am still hoping for a white Christmas, but I don’t think that will be possible. Do you guys usually have a white Christmas? Are there any of you that have never seen snow? What is the one thing that you are looking forward to most?

Are you worried about December 21, 2012, “the end of the world?” Here is a wonderful article from NASA, negating all claims that December 21 will be the apocalypse: http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2012.html.

Hello!

What type of presents do you get for your friends and family? Do you make something for them? Is there a present that you get for them every year?

My mom makes bags full of snack items and junk food for my nieces and nephews every year. This year, I wrote a poem for my mother…and I already gave it to her.

I continue to find wonderful poems on the Internet. This one is called “Scratch and Dent Dreams” by Eric Darby. What do you think of it? What do you think is the meaning of it? I will post what I think it means after there are comments.
