The Most Astounding Fact

Video Posted on Updated on

Since a lot of us (both writers and readers) are approaching the weeks of final exams, a theme of learning seems to be relatable. This video is connected to that. What is the most interesting, or astounding, fact to you? What is the most interesting thing you have ever learned.
By the way, I absolutely love the song in the background. It is called “To Build A Home” by Patrick Watson, featuring the Cinematic Orchestra.

The Universe is in us. ❤

The maker of this video is incredibly talented!

We’re taking a (TEMPORARY) break

Posted on Updated on

You may have noticed the recent decline in posts. We have found it quite challenging to post for the “Put It In Action” theme, as most of what we do has been quite personal, at least for the self-esteem issue. So, at this point it looks as though we are going back to what we used to do and what we know: writing. Of course, we will still make it our mission to help as many people as we can, and we will most likely still end up volunteering a lot.

In addition to this, it is time for finals, and school takes priority (if we can’t help ourselves, we most certainly can’t help other people!). The occasional post will not be rare, so please make sure to check back!! I do not think that the break will be too long. In the meantime, if there are any topic ideas that you have, feel free to share them with us!

Thanks for reading!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am so thankful for each and every one of you! Thank you for taking the time to read and contribute CforT. I only hope that we have helped some of you feel about your situation. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to help others, as well as for my life, and I hope that I never forget that.

From the Courage for Tomorrow team, have the best Thanksgiving, don’t forget to be thankful everyday, travel safely, and eat tons of food!!

P.S. What’s your favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner? I am quite fond of coconut cream pie, myself, but I have to give it to the turkey! 🙂

In His Image: Self-Image From the Christian Perspective

In His Image

By, Johnathon D. Howard

I love to read; I spend almost all my time reading, writing, or listening to music. Out of those things reading receives most of my time outside school. I’ve read many different books, and as a Christian I read mostly Christian books. But of all the books I’ve ever read only one reign’s king of books and that is the Bible. Interestingly, the best book in the world contains the best self-esteem message ever. If you have a Bible open it to the Book of Genesis look in chapter 1 and you will find this:

And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them,’

-Genesis 1:26-27 (KJV)

Now I am not trying to force my religion on you; I’m really not. But you have to admit if I’m right then that is an amazing message; in fact that is the most amazing message you will hear on this website. And I’m not trying to brag on myself either because every message you read or see on this site– whether the authors know it or not- if I’m right ultimately leads back to those verses.

So what does that mean? That means something awesome. Albert Einstein was one of the smartest men to ever walk this earth. Do you realize the God Who made him would have to be smarter than him? He would have to be smarter than him by quite a bit actually. Leonardo DaVinci is arguably the best artist who ever walked this earth. Do you realize the God Who made him would have to be more artistic than him; once again by a lot?

So you’ve got the smartest and most artistic Being in the universe, and He made each and every one of us (yes I know the scientific parts of how a baby comes to be but if we applied the same logic to that as we do to movies then we would say a director never makes a movie the camera does of course that’s not true the guy in control of course makes the thing). Smart and artistic people don’t take time to make trash. God- Who is 100% the smartest and most artistic Being ever- does not take time to make trash! I don’t care what anyone has said about you not being good enough. I don’t care what you think about you not being worth it; about your being a mistake! God DOES NOT make trash! You are NOT a mistake! You were made with a purpose in mind! You were fearfully and wonderfully made! God doesn’t make trash; you are not trash!
